Sewa Warriors – Running to Serve 2015

On 18th October Srishti’s “Sewa Warriors” participated for third consecutive year in the Scotia Toronto Waterfront Marathon event and continued to raise money to build a Residential School in the remote North East hills of India,  for under-privileged tribal girls, to pursue secondary education, in partnership with Sewa Canada International, a registered charity in Canada.

Over the last 2 years we have raised $20,000 for this cause to help Sewa Canada raise a total of $83,000 for this cause. Construction of the school has commenced, as we continue to march towards our target to help complete this school. To know more about this cause click HERE

This year 7 of Srishti’s Sewa Warriors raised close to $10,000 for Sewa Canada at this event, running in cold 2 deg C weather in downtown Toronto by the Lakeshore.
