Srishti ( सृष्टि ) Foundation in Canada, is a registered not-for-profit organization, founded in 2012. Srishti in Sanskrit means “creation”. Srishti is about the creation of a more vibrant, more giving society and inculcating a sense of Seva (selfless service) in our next generation.

Driven by the ancient Indian teachings – “Vausdaiva Kutumbakam” (the whole world is one family) and “Nar seva Narayan seva” (Service to humanity is service to God), Srishti is founded on the three pillars of-

Seva – Inspire selfless service in the community, with a focus on “yuva”.

Celebration – Celebrating ancient Indian festivals with its traditional symbols, fun and giving.

Culture – Promote self-development & leadership of the next generation through the study of ancient Indian heritage, its performing arts & traditions.

Srishti also partners with other registered charitable or not-for-profit organizations, whose objectives align with any one or more of our pillars. Srishti volunteers are regularly involved with all of our partners in Seva, showcasing how different organizations can work together in pure Seva.

Seva – We started serving the Bhutanese Refugees in London, ON unconditionally in 2009. While we continue to support them, over the last eight years we have served communities around the world via various service projects here in Canada, India, Nepal & Ghana. Our service projects have empowered the needy in the fields of education, disaster relief & youth empowerment among the underprivileged.

Celebration @ Srishti is a constant. Our timeless festivals of Holi, Diwali and many others have been a source of joy for many thousands of years. We recreate this experience, and restore the “Masti”, while proudly sustaining the symbols and traditions of this ancient culture. Our celebrations are energy filled, replete with audio/visual effects, involving community and professional performers, highlighting the diversity of our traditional art forms. While our Holi celebrations draw above 2500 people in downtown London in a boisterous riot of colours, our Diwali celebrations have brought together sold-out audiences of up to 1200 people, with high-quality dining, and entertainment experiences with professional fireworks to boot.

Culture @Srishti….we realize that our ancient heritage comprises very effective tools to promote the self-development of the next generation. With our partners, we offer weekly self-development classes that teach Vedanta, Yogasana, Meditation, Public speaking, and Debating and offer an opportunity to develop leadership skills. We help run summer camps and events that promote leadership in the next generation. Our Youth International Internship program helps North American youth to serve in underprivileged communities around the world.

We look forward to you joining us in Srishti (creation) of “Yuva for Seva”. It’s a great forum to enhance your leadership skills, give back to the community, and make new friends.
